Fall Tour to Starved Rock
Presented by Windy City BMW and X Chapter
Join us on Saturday, October 17 for a relaxed group drive out to Starved Rock State Park. This collaborative chapter drive hosted by Windy City BMW and X Chapter is all about great roads, fall colors, good food, and even better company.
We’ll have two easy starting options to make things convenient for everyone.
Group 1: Chicago
Meet at the Dunkin / Shell
1768 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60622
Bucktown, near the I 90/94 Armitage exit
Depart Chicago: 8:45 AM
Group 2: Joliet
Meet at Love’s Travel Stop
1501 New Lenox Rd, Joliet, IL 60433
Located near the I 80 and I 55 corridor, this is an easy place to fuel up, grab a coffee, use the restrooms and join the group.
Meetup: 9:30 AM
Depart Joliet: 9:50 AM
We’ll regroup and roll out together for the final stretch to Starved Rock.
Lunch
Lunch is optional and up to each participant. After arriving at Starved Rock around 11:30 AM, you’re welcome to choose where and when you’d like to eat.
Here are three nearby recommendations to consider:
• Starved Rock Lodge Restaurant: Rustic setting and conveniently located inside the park
• Bruce & Ollie’s: Casual sandwiches, soups and deli fare in nearby Utica
• Uptown Grill: A nicer lunch option in downtown La Salle
If you’d like to dine at one of these restaurants, please make your own reservation if required. October weekends can be busy, so we recommend planning ahead.
After lunch, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy the park, take a hike, explore the trails, or head home whenever it suits you.
