Boston BMW CCA - WrenchFest at Gearhead DIY Automotive Supercenter in Warwick RI April 6, 2025
The Boston Chapter BMW CCA has rented a DIY Garage, Gearheads Super Center on 250 Oakland Beach Ave & West Shore Rd. Warwick, RI 02889, for a club DIY Event. The Garage is about 20 minute drive from the Crown Plaza Hotel located near the Warwick Mall by Rt. 95. and easy to get to. There are Five Service Bays with automotive tools in each Bay.
The intent for this Tech Session is to do an Oil Change (Oil & Filter provided by the participating Chapter Member) on Chapter members’ own BMW’s. Some mechanically inclined Chapter members will be on hand to assist the member with the Oil change if needed and make any observations about any deficiencies found.
Lift Time Slots start at 10 AM, 11AM, 12PM and 1 PM, 5 Lift Time Slots are available each hour. The charge will be for 45 minutes in the Bay on the Lift for a $35.00 fee which includes a Hazmat charge and the associated MSR Fees.
All participants should be wearing gloves & safety glasses while working on their car. No sneakers, open-toed shoes, flip-flops, bare feet, etc. will be allowed within the facility at any time. Please wear appropriate footwear for a workshop environment.
If a member wants to perform another service (e.g., a differential oil change or summer tire swap), it will be permitted so long as the work is done within the allotted time.
